Description
This short module will give an understanding of gonorrhoea: when to test, how to prevent it and the importance of contact tracing. This will increase your knowledge and confidence in supporting clients and providing education about gonorrhorea.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module you should be able to:
- Explain to a client how gonorrhoea spreads, what symptoms to look for and how to treat it.
- Describe prevention strategies, including the value of regular screening and safe sex practices.
- Outline the recommended treatment regimens for gonorrhoea according to current clinical guidelines.
- Educate clients on the importance of taking their medicine and informing their sexual partners.
- Understand the importance of addressing gonorrhoea within their communities to improve health outcomes.
