Learning outcomes
On completion of this module you should be able to:
- Explain the importance of early detection in bowel cancer and how it can improve patient outcomes.
- Describe the purpose for screening for bowel cancer and explain how to use screening kits effectively.
- Identify who should get screened and when.
- Understand the role of health workers in supporting screening and follow-up that involves collaboration with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with bowel cancer.
Communicate confidently with patients and their families about bowel cancer screening, test results, and treatment options in a culturally safe and respectful manner.
